Christina Milian is a singer, songwriter, and actress who people have seen performing in the public eye as a performer since she was 19 years old. Since she is not afraid to embrace a challenge, her next performance includes taking on the" honor and dream come true" of playing the role of Magenta in a reimaging of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW on Fox October 20th, 2016.

So let's start with an easy question: Since she is a fan, what was it like to work with Tim Curry on this remake?

"It was a really big thing for me to meet Tim Curry. I thanked him, thank you for allowing me to be a part of this. Not that he cast me, but at the end of the day to be standing side by side in a film that I've grown up watching, my Mom has, it's a big deal, and it's an honor and a pleasure to be able to work with such great talent."

Is there any worry about the fandom reacting to a remake, when the original stage play and the movie is such a cult classic?

"Having Tim being a part of this new reimaging of ROCKY HORROR kind of certifies the trust factor for the fans. Tim wouldn't be a part of something, especially for this legendary film for it to be something that would mess up the legend of what it is. Not to mention we also had the president of the Fan club come and make a cameo in the movie. We had a lot of people that were watching over, that are real true fans that have been part of this for years and years, and they have nothing but sung their praises. So that makes us really happy."

How did she prepare for the role before going into filming?

"We get to have fun and watch the original movie, and watch the play version, I've studied all types of versions of it to see how much fun people had with it and where it could really go. After that I took it on from there."

What is something that stands out about remaking of ROCKY HORROR now that will resonate with todays audiences?

"This ROCKY is the definition of diversity. So was the original, you know? What movie were you seeing at that time, at that platform that had a guy playing a sweet transvestite? It was breaking boundaries then and it's still doing it to this day. It's great and I think we walked into it saying 'we're all very grateful about this and this is part of our belief of who we are as people' so walking in seeing all these different faces, different colors, different races, Ben Vereen, all these different people playing these roles was amazing. It only makes sense right now, we're evolving; it's not about colors, and we're getting to the point where it's not about sex. So it's a beautiful thing to see that in this movie. So I think in 2016 it's exactly what THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW would be if we just started it right now. "
