The historic Woodlawn Theatre stages the Texas premiere of the family drama, Unbroken Circle. On September 26, James Wesley will host another talkback following the 7:30 p.m. performance of Unbroken Circle. The talkback features Child Safe San Antonio, an organization dedicated to providing expert care for abused children. Wesley will sell Unbroken Circle scripts and donate the proceeds to Child Safe. The discussion will include the biographical nature of the play, which Wesley based parts of on his extended Texas family, as well as what it's like for Wesley and Juli to play father and daughter on stage.

Set in 1970 Galveston, Texas, a family is brought together for the first time in years on the day of its patriarch's funeral. As the day turns into night, the impact of the man on his family unfolds in surprising ways leaving each member grappling with the truth. The drama is at times hilarious and disturbing as it explores how family secrets affect every person in each generation differently.

New York Times says, "The script makes all the right moves. A family drama with a whiff of "August: Osage County." The emotionally charged drama, played Off-Broadway in 2013.

Directed by Greg Hinojosa, Unbroken Circle runs for two weeks only from September 25 to October 5. Show times are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.woodlawntheatre.org, or by calling the box office at 210-267-8388.
