They're creepy, they're kooky, mysterious, and spooky...It's the Addams Family in San Antonio!

THE ADDAMS FAMILY an original story featuring the beloved characters from the movie and the cartoon is coming to the Woodlawn Theatre! The whole family will enjoy this kooky love story. This production, directed by Rick Sanchez opens tonight, February 13.

Patrons are invited to our traditional opening night cake and champagne celebration after the show on February 13. On Valentine's Day, the first 100 patrons will receive a carnation for joining us on the fateful night the Addams host a dinner for Lucas and his family.

This original story based on the characters by Charles Addams features music and lyrics written by Andrew Lippa and the book written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a smart young man from a respectable family. Everything changes for the whole family on the fateful night The Addams host a dinner for the normal boy and his parents. A night filled with humor, creepiness, and the usual kookiness you would expect from the beloved Addams family, THE ADDAMS FAMILY promises to be an experience the whole family will enjoy.

The Addams family plays through March 15every Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.n. and Sunday at 3 p.m. except for February 22 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at www.woodlawntheatre.org, or by calling the box office at 210-267-8388. Prices are $17 for students and children, $23 for seniors or military, and $26 for adults. Groups of 10 people or more receive at 20% discount.

The Addams family played on Broadway from 2010 to 2011. The New York Times claims "undoubtedly a feel-good crowd-pleaser, with touches of true feeling that keep it grounded in ordinary humanity". And the Chicago Tribune claims "you'll find it quite fascinating".

The Woodlawn Theatre is San Antonio's historic local theatre, located in the heart of the Deco District at 1920 Fredericksburg Road, just south of Hildebrand. Free parking with security patrol is available.
