Get out your squirt guns and playing cards as The Rocky Horror Show gets a RuPaul's Drag Race facelift at San Antonio's historic Woodlawn Theatre, 1920 Fredericksburg Road in the Deco District. The iconic rock musical, which opens October 10, stars Michelle Visage as Magenta, William as Riff Raff and Alaska as Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Check out a first look below!
Irreverent and anti-establishment, The Rocky Horror Show, which has travelled the world since making its humble debut at The Royal Court Theatre in London in 1973, celebrates its 40th Anniversary in 2013. In this original horror comedy musical, a newly-engaged couple is stripped of their inhibitions in an unforgettable and shocking odyssey that begins with getting caught in a storm and seeking refuge at the home of a madcap transvestite scientist, Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
Audience rules for the show: Patrons under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to be allowed in the show - mature language and sexual content abounds. Dig out your fishnet stockings and stiletto heels for the show - costumes make everything twice as much fun. Callbacks are not only allowed, but encouraged. But throwing your voice is it - no throwing food or water or harassing the cast or audience members. No homemade props can come into the theatre for safety issues, but prop bags will be sold at the theatre for $5.

The Woodlawn Theatre is San Antonio's historic community theatre, located in the heart of the Deco District at 1920 Fredericksburg Road, just south of Hildebrand. Free parking with security patrol is available.
