A man and a woman is married, father, salesman, perhaps; her nothing is known except that she's drunk, idle, a little whore perhaps, they meet in a park in a hotel room then.
A love story, their life is turned upside down. A universe typical Norwegian author Jon Fosse, born in 1959, consecrated by numerous awards, and directed by Claude Regy in French, Jacques Lassalle or Denis Marleau. Jon Fosse, the theater is the most humane and most intense forms of art. A theater where the silence, where hesitation, time, space between words, where what is hinted at in the words, more than the words themselves, the poor human words, if mundane, is incredibly significant. A scene of tension and attention. The spectator reaches into his emotions, experiences before understanding, and the echoes aroused in him, deep, intense and overwhelming. And this awkward humanity that gives to recognize Jon Fosse, is both tragic course, but funny too.
This is Sophie Langevin which will give life to stage this winter, attracted by the play in which Jon Fosse confirms what an extraordinary labor of imperceptible it is in his writing to minimalist music tones, available in rehearsals and small variations. May 17, 2022Salt Lake Acting Company has announced its lineup of 22/23 programming, comprising the theatre company’s 51st Season. Four plays comprise the season, two of which were previously developed in SLAC’s New Play Sounding Series.

Salt Lake Acting Company's half-century history is reflected in the expansive body of work it has produced and in the long-standing support of its most open and adventurous audience. SLAC produces seasons of thoughtful, provocative, Regional and World Premieres; nurtures, supports and develops a community of professional artists; produces and supports emerging playwrights; and makes a significant contribution to our community and to American theatre by commissioning, developing and producing new plays. SLAC presents a year-round season of 5 to 7 Regional and World Premieres, reaching an audience of over 37,000 (including a season subscriber base of 3,000), and supporting over 150 professional theatre artists annually. With a budget of $2 million, SLAC works under a Small Professional Theatre contract with Actors' Equity Association—a union for professional theatre artists to secure health and pension benefits and negotiate contract rights.
