The 2012 Cabaret season opens January 25 with Forbidden Broadway, New York's longest running musical comedy revue. Parodying all of your favorite Broadway hits from shows like Wicked, Hello, Dolly! and Les Misérables, get ready to laugh all night long as you sing along to your favorite show tunes -- reinvented. The New York Post raves it's, "Fresh and Hilarious!" and The Daily News says it's "Intoxicatingly Funny!"

In June we bring a different type of comedy with Triple Espresso. Part magic show, part musical, it is the irresistible story of a comedy trio going for their big break, only to have their hopes dashed over and over on the rocks of one magnificently funny failure after another. The comedy trio reluctantly reveals their rags-to-rags story earnestly, with hysterical results that will make you laugh and laugh and laugh! In this highly caffeinated comedy, the laughter is infectious and the comedy appeals to everyone from first graders to baby-boomers to grandparents.

The season will close with I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, and will be directed by celebrated Music Circus Artistic Director, Glenn Casale. At its core, this musical comedy is about people and their desire to connect. The hilarious comedy, which has played an astonishing 4,500 performances all over the world, is filled with original songs and hilarious scenarios. I Love You…delves not only into the ups and downs of dating, but the comical ways husbands, wives, and in-laws interact. The New York Times hails I Love You… as "Funny! Witty!"

All productions are performed at The Cosmopolitan Cabaret, 1000 K Street.

The Cosmopolitan Cabaret is a 200-seat cabaret-style theatre. It features 23 tables of four and seven rows of tiered seating with beverage counters. Adjacent to Paragary Restaurant Group's Cosmo Café, patrons can take advantage of cocktail service inside the theatre before the show.
