The B Street Theatre will present as the next show of its main stage season, Becky's New Car by celebrated playwright Steven Dietz.

Becky's New Car follows the extremes of Becky Foster, a woman who is caught in middle age, middle management and a middling marriage. All this changes when one night a socially inept and grief-struck millionaire stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works offering her nothing short of a new life. Becky's New Car is a thoroughly original comedy with serious overtones, a devious and delightful romp down the road not taken.

The Playwright.

Playwright Steven Dietz is one of the most prolific and produced of modern American Playwrights. His plays and adaptations, which include Lonely Planet, Private Eyes, Inventing Van Gogh, Dracula, Force of Nature, Halcyon Days and the Nina Variations, have been seen at over one hundred regional theatres in the United States, as well as Off-Broadway. International productions of his work have been seen in England, Japan, Germany, France, Australia, Sweden, Russia, Slovenia, Argentina, Peru, Singapore and South Africa. Recent work includes Fiction (produced Off-Broadway by the Roundabout Theatre Company and locally at Capital Stage); Last of the Boys (produced by Steppenwolf Theatre, Chicago); and several widely-produced adaptations: Honus and Me (from Dan Gutman), and Sherlock Holmes: the Final Adventure (from William Gillette and Arthur Conan Doyle).

Becky's New Car will feature an ensemble of B Street Acting Company members. Elisabeth Nunziato will appear as Becky; David Pierini as her husband Joe, Greg Alexander as her workmate Steve; Jamie Jones as Ginger and Dan Harlan as Walter.
