The live stage version of the popular PBS Television cooking show, "America's Test Kitchen" with host Christopher Kimball, comes to the Gallo Center for the Arts on Tuesday, November 11. Curtain is at 7:30 pm.

Tickets for "America's Test Kitchen LIVE!" range in price from $29 to $85. An $85 ticket includes the purchase and shipping of ""The Complete America's Test Kitchen TV Show Cookbook 2001-2014." Tickets may be purchased online at www.galloarts.org, by calling (209) 338-2100, or from the Gallo Center ticket office at 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto.

During the show Kimball provides a behind-the-scenes tour of the making of the television program, reveals the secrets of the show's recipe testing and how cooking equipment is rated, performs taste tests, and explores the science of cooking. Some of the television show's most embarrassing moments, including the infamous Yule log disaster and the smoking "Today Show" show segment that almost summoned the fire department, are seen in video clips.

"America's Test Kitchen LIVE!" also features an on-stage chocolate taste test with audience members, two science experiments, and a "sniff" test to see if participants can identify what they smell. Dan Souza, senior editor for Cook's Illustrated and an on-screen test cook for "America's Test Kitchen," will join Kimball for this show. Kimball concludes the evening with a Q&A for the audience.

Oak Valley Community Bank and Sutter Health Central Valley Region are the sponsors of "America's Test Kitchen LIVE!"
