First of all, I want to note, "stylish" setting, full compliance with the spirit of Paris, French culture abroad XIX - XX centuries (the establishment of the Puccini opera, the first performance of which took place in February 1896).

Performance fanned light "fl?rom" Impressionism, is elegant scenery and costumes (especially in the scene "in the Latin Quarter"), refined poses a walking public from time to time stands still, like the heroes of paintings. This decision is great merit of the director and the artist working in a unified artistic style.

Artist Igor Ivanov has created an exciting gaming space, giving the Parisian landscape features of the style of Maurice Utrillo. Spacious loft with a view of the prospect of Montmartre, crannies, opening framed by charming houses area, character costumes, created with great taste and theater - all creates a carnival atmosphere upbeat. The director, according to the logic defined by the set designer, unfolds in the spectacular mise en scenes and dynamic picture. But in the face of illness and death, all this life, recreated in elaborate detail, looks defenseless-fake, conditional, as fleeting as a theatrical performance.

Successfully coped with complicated stage and vocal difficulties puchchinievskogo masterpiece and all the young performers (I was lucky enough to attend the first and third submissions). The image of the delicate and fragile Mimi Natalia Charles created especially expressive and touching in the final scene. Another performer of the party Veronica Dzhioeva (soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre) won the beauty of timbre of voice, subtle nuances and dramatic force in the climactic scene.

Excellent performers were all male parties: Vladimir Cheberyak (Rudolph), Alexander Kulga (Marseille), Vladimir Kopitov (Schaunard) and Michael Korobeynikov (Collin), amounting to a brilliant, played by an ensemble that convincingly recreated the full "illusion" of life on the stage. Accurate vocal phrasing, the ability to engage in dialogue, actor's freedom - made with interest, sometimes with a smile, and sometimes with trepidation to follow all the twists and turns of the plot (but familiar), sympathize and empathize with the heroes. Vocal and acting was good Harry Aghajanian starring Benoit and Alcindoro, elegant and graceful Irina Bozhenko the party Musetta.

We should also note the excellent work of the chorus (Chorus Master - Valery Kopanev). In the scene "in the Latin Quarter" choir artists recreated the elegant, lively, mobile "crowd" of people walking, individual character images (nuns, couples, traders, etc.). Remarkable children's choir, organically fit into this seething joy and fun theatrical action.
