The weather outside may say winter, but 4th Wall Theatre has their eyes set on fall in the play NEXT FALL by Geoffrey Nauffts. The New Jersey based theater company is bringing the play to the Irvington Town Hall Theater in Irvington, NY, for two performances on March 7 and 8. 4th Wall Artistic Director Kate Swan says the title "represents all the things we put off talking to our families and loved ones until it's too late." Director Gwen Ricks-Spencer adds, "the title also points to the fact that the future is not promised, and there is a potential price to pay for waiting."

The play was originally produced on Broadway in 2010 and nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play. 4th Wall Theatre, known for producing edgy and lesser known works, was drawn to the piece for how it covers issues of love, faith, lifestyles, families and compassion. It centers around the lives of a gay couple, one younger who is devoutly religious and the other older and an atheist, and how their five year relationship is affected by outside forces - namely an accident that leaves the younger in the hospital. Through flashbacks, we see the lives of Luke and Adam unfold while family and friends wait to hear Luke's prognosis.

"The Rivertowns are in for a moving and beautiful piece of theater with this show," says Irvington Town Hall Theater Manager, Greg Allen. "I watched a technical rehearsal in our space this week and can't imagine people leaving this production and not making a decision or a call they've been putting off. It grabs you and will definitely change you."

Original Broadway cast member, Maddie Corman, grew up on the Irvington stage and says, "Geoffrey Nauffts' NEXT FALL is an incredible, important, hilarious, honest, wonderful play that I feel lucky to have been a part of. The play has so much to say about love and family and faith and friendship. All of us who worked on the play were changed forever by the experience."

4th Wall's cast includes Nick Wolf as Luke, Ted Cancila as Adam, Lynn Langone as Arlene, Victor Gallo as Butch, Vanessa Robinson as Holly, Alan Van Antwerp as Brandon.

NEXT FALL will run on March 7 at 8pm with a 3pm matinee on Sunday, March 8th. Tickets can be purchased for a discount in advance on the theater's website at: http://bit.ly/4WT_NextFall.
