Music Conservatory of Westchester, a not-for-profit music school in White Plains, NY, will honor Tony winner Barbara Cook and conductor John Mauceri on Monday, June 23 with lifetime achievement awards and a cavalcade of Broadway talent who will pay tribute to the honorees and the Broadway stage. Tony Award winners Cady Huffman and Alice Ripley, Tony nominee Laura Osnes, and Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera star Craig Schulman will perform while John Treacy Egan, a Broadway veteran who resides in Westchester, will emcee the event held at the Whippoorwill Club in Armonk.

"Barbara Cook and John Mauceri are preeminent in the world of music and it's an incredible thrill to honor them. Their participation will help the Conservatory fulfill the musical aspirations of so many in our community," said Jean Newton, the Conservatory's executive director.

The Broadway Revue Dinner is part of the Conservatory's 13th Annual Golf and Tennis Classic, which traditionally features a day of golf or tennis followed by an awards dinner and live auction. Proceeds from the event will go toward scholarships for low-income youth (The Conservatory provides $100,000 in scholarship assistance each year for approximately 80-85 students) as well as music therapy for children with disabilities and the Conservatory's newHealing Our Heroes program, which provides music therapy and music instruction for returning military veterans.

"Where else can you play golf at a fabulous club, get a chance to bid on amazing items, have a delicious dinner, and be entertained by Broadway stars all for a great cause," Conservatory Board President and Armonk resident Rodd Berro explained.

Adding to that, Egan said, "I look forward to hosting this wonderful event for such a great cause featuring Broadway luminaries."

Founded in 1929, the Conservatory provides high quality music education to students of all ages, abilities, and ambitions, regardless of background or financial means. 2014 marks the Conservatory's 85th year of serving students throughout greater Westchester.
