Downstairs Cabaret Theatre is pleased to announce a Limited 2-Week-Only Return Engagement of: A TWIST OF LEMMON, April 6 - April 15, 2017. A Twist of Lemmon chronicles the lifelong journey of Chris Lemmon and his world-famous father, actor Jack Lemmon. A unique yet universal celebration of a father and son torn apart, only to find one another again, becoming the best of friends against all odds. Couched in the lore of the golden age of Hollywood, and told in the voice of Jack Lemmon, A Twist of Lemmon is filled with dozens of the great stars that graced the silver screen during that incredible era, as well as a score of some of Jack's greatest performances from the movies the world adored. With an original piano score by Chris Lemmon, the end result is a heartfelt journey that critics have called, "A story that will make you laugh and cry, then laugh again..." Each performance will be followed immediately by a talkback with Mr. Lemmon. The one-man tour-de-force was developed at Downstairs Cabaret prior to its sold-out run in London, and returns prior to an upcoming engagement in Chicago.

With a career spanning over forty years, Chris Lemmon has starred in more than twenty-five feature films, including Just The Ticket, Lena's Holiday and That's Life. He's starred in television series for all major networks, including "Knot's Landing" (CBS), "Thunder in Paradise" (Reisher), "Studio 59" (ABC), "Brothers & Sisters" (NBC), and most notably Fox's highly acclaimed network-launching situation comedy "Duet". He graduated California Institute of the Arts with degrees in classical piano and composition, as well as a degree in the theatrical arts, and went on to appear in numerous stage productions, including the west-coast tour of BAREFOOT IN THE PARK, directed by the late Jerry Paris, the original award winning west coast production of SHAY by Anne Commire, and the highly celebrated production of LOVE LETTERS with Stephanie Zimbalast. He currently resides in New England where he writes and produces feature films and television. His memoir, "A Twist Of Lemmon" was published Father's Day 2006. He recently wrote, produced, and hosted the Sony Documentary "Magic Time", and has just finished his newest award-winning documentary, "Day By Day", for which he also wrote the musical score. He has begun penning his newest novel, "Uncle Dayton", is preparing his original feature film Publicity Stunt for production, and continues the nationwide tour of his applauded new one man play with music, A TWIST OF LEMMON.

Convenient free parking is available.
