Welcomed return of favorite artists Bernadene Blaha, Livia Sohn and Luigi Piovano. The concert features trios by Beethoven, Shostakovich and Dvo?ák. Since opening the 2009 Newport Music Festival, the trio has garnered accolades from around the world. Ms. Blaha has been a mainstay at the Festival for 18 seasons. Ms. Sohn concertizes around the world between her duties as a professor of music at Stanford University and amazing mom. Mr. Piovano conducts orchestras as well as performing throughout the world from his home base in Rome. Latitude 41 was founded in 2008 at the Newport Music Festival—its title is derived from Newport, Rhode Island and Rome, Italy sharing the same latitude. Special Festival thanks to the Jamestown Community Piano Association.
