Trinity Rep announces the addition of a new offering from their Young Actors Summer Institute (YASI). YASI Masters is a week-long program for high school students looking to deepen their theater practice and dig into intensive and concentrated training with top experts in their fields. The teaching roster boasts Trinity Rep company members and professional artists from around the region. The session runs August 11-14, 2014 with courses running 9:30-12:30pm and 1:30-4:30pm each day. Students have the option of selecting classes a la carte for $100 per class or taking the full week- a total of 8 classes over 4 days for $400. For registration, course descriptions and teacher bios, visit www.trinityrep.com.

"The Young Actors Summer Institute is the core of our summer series, but there has been demand for programs for students up through the college level," observes education programs manager Jordan Butterfield, "Now, YASI Masters allows experienced students of theater arts to explore specific subjects in depth. These are perfect for the dedicated theater student who is hoping to sharpen their skills and broaden their perspective."

This year's YASI Masters class lineup features "Shakespeare's Clowns, Comics and Con Men" with Fred Sullivan, Jr., "Fosse Choreography" with Melody Gamba, "Viewpoints Technique" with Shura Baryshnakov, "Yes!! Slam That Door! Playing Outrageously in the Land of Farce" with Angela Brazil, "Directing" with Curt Columbus, "Dialects of the UK" with Thom Jones, "Illusions of Violence" with Craig Handel, "Ten Minute Play Workshop or Look Ma! I Made a Play!" with David Rabinow and "Sondheim Solos" with Leigh Barrett.

For younger students, entering 5th-8th grade, Trinity Rep offers The Young Actors Summer Institute (YASI), one of the most comprehensive summer arts enrichment programs in New England. Students choose from a variety of electives including playwriting, musical theater, improvisation, Shakespeare, visual arts, stage combat and more. YASI culminates in two performances on the Trinity Rep stage. YASI faculty includes Trinity Rep's acting company, local artists, Brown/Trinity Rep MFA students and alumni, and Trinity Rep's education staff. YASI runs Monday- Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30pm, from July 1 through August 2, 2014. Visit www.trinityrep.com for more information, pricing and registration.
