Stage and Screen Star Aaron Tveit to Play The VETS

Broadway, TV, and film actor and singer Aaron Tveit will play The VETS in Providence on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 7:00pm.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at TheVetsRI.com, by phone at (401) 421.ARTS (2787), or in person at The VETS/PPAC Box Office located at 220 Weybosset St, Providence. Phone and walk-up orders are only available Monday - Thursday 10am-3pm due to The VETS/PPAC Summer Box Office Hours. Regular hours resume September 6 and are Monday - Friday 10am-5pm; Saturday 10am-2pm.

Tveit is currently starring in the CBS comic-thriller, Braindead, where he plays the male lead opposite of Mary

Elizabeth Winstead, released on June 13th, 2016. Tveit plays Gareth, a Republican operative whose wit is only trumped by his pragmatism. The Legislative Director to a top Republican senator, Gareth is smart, hardworking, and ultimately responsible for helping to save the world.

Tveit was most recently seen in the sensational television special, Grease: Live where he played Danny Zuko opposite Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens and Stereotypically You, alongside Lewis Black, Kal Penn and Lauren Miller.

Tveit will also be seen in Undrafted on July 15th, alongside Chace Crawford and Tyler Hoechilin.

Tveit starred on Broadway in Catch Me If You Can, in the role of Frank Abagnale Jr and also created the role of "Gabe" in the Pulitzer Prize winning Broadway musical, Next to Normal, which he developed off-Broadway at the Second Stage Theatre and debuted on Broadway. In the May of 2013, Tveit sold out six shows at NYC's 54 Below in record time.

Tveit has received numerous honors for his work in theatre including the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Supporting Performance in Next to Normal and the Actors Equity Association Clarence Derwent Award for Most Promising Actor. Nominations included Distinguished Performance from the Drama League, Best Male Dancer from the Fred and Adele Astaire Awards, and Outstanding Featured Actor from the Outer Critics Circle Awards, all for his work in Catch Me If You Can.

In addition to Wicked and Hairspray on Broadway, he starred in the national tours of Hairspray and Rent. He is featured on the cast recordings for Catch Me If You Can and Next to Normal.

Tveit's film credits include Les Miserables, where he was seen portraying the character Enjolras alongside Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman and Russel Crowe, Premium Rush, Howl, and Ghost Town. Television audiences know him from Graceland, and numerous guest starring roles on The Good Wife, Body of Proof, Ugly Betty, and Law & Order: SVU.
