Theatre By The Sea owner and producer Bill Hanney, Producing Artistic Director Amiee Turner and Managing Producer Joel Kipper are proud to continue Theatre By The Sea's 2010 Children's Festival with Squeaky Clean on Friday, August 13, 2010.

A Theatre By The Sea favorite, back for their 17th year, Squeaky Clean presents a rock ‘n' roll party featuring classics from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Formed in 1983 by Suzanne C. Smithline and Glenn Paul Manion, Squeaky Clean became a regular fixture on the New York City nightclub circuit. Realizing that their "squeaky clean" image might enable them to present rock and roll music to a wider audience, Suzanne and Glenn arranged a series of rock and roll shows aimed at children and families in museums, libraries and parks. These concerts became a successful Arts-in-Education presentation about the history of rock and roll. In addition, they were often booked to do concerts and dances outside of school hours. Their authentic look and sound recreates the era when rock and roll was young. The trio's 1996 CD/cassette release Rock and Roll Party with Squeaky Clean was awarded a seal of approval by the Parents Choice Foundation. In addition, Squeaky Clean was regularly seen for many years on Nickelodeon's hit pre-school TV series "Eureeka's Castle."

After the performance, families can enjoy cold drinks and snacks, which will be available for purchase at the gazebo.

Squeaky Clean will be presented on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10:00 am and 12:00 noon. The theatre is located at 364 Cards Pond Road, Matunuck, RI. Single tickets are $10.00 each. Discount rates are available for groups of 20 or more by calling (401) 782-3800 x18. Tickets are on sale at the box office Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am-4:00 pm, online 24-hours-a-day at www.theatrebythesea.com and via telephone during normal box office hours by calling (401) 782-TKTS (8587).
