The Community Players, Rhode Island's oldest community theater, are kicking off their 95th Anniversary Season with the 50s rock and roll musical GREASE, book, lyrics and music by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, directed by Andrew g. Bobola with musical direction by Ron Procopio. Get out your leather jackets, pull on your bobby socks and join Rydell High's senior class of 1959 in GREASE, playing tonight, October 9, through October 25, 2015 at Jenks Auditorium, 350 Division St., Pawtucket, RI. GREASE is the beloved rock n' roll celebration of teen angst, fast cars and first loves - all set in the fabulous fifties. Meet the hot-rodding, rule-breaking Burger Palace Boys and their gum-snapping, chain-smoking Pink Ladies. Sandy Dumbrowski, the sweet new girl in town, and local boy Danny Zuko, have had a whirlwind summer romance. Now that they're back to school, everything is different as Danny turns out to be the leader of the local greaser gang. Can he maintain his cool status and still make straight-laced Sandy his girl? Join us for the hand-jiving musical that's sure to have you dancing in your seats. GREASE features the irresistible songs from the Tony Award nominated Broadway show and hit movie, including You're The One That I Want, Summer Nights, We Go Together, GREASEd Lightnin' and more.

GREASE stars Edward Benjamin, III of Cumberland as Danny Zuko, Kiki Maples of Pawtucket as Sandy, Kenneth Densmore of Taunton, MA as Kenickie and Bethany Giammarco of Warwick as Rizzo. The 19 member cast also features Carlos Arenas (West Warwick) as Vince Fontaine, Aubrie Bagdasarian (Bellingham, MA) as Frenchy, Courtney Contente (East Providence) as Marty, David Ghioni (Bellingham, MA) as Sonny, Joanna Gonzalez (Warren) as Cha-Cha, Sonya Joyner (Mattapan, MA) as Miss Lynch, Jose Lantigua (Pawtucket) as Eugene, Ryan Leverone (Providence) as Roger, Emma Locke (Providence) as Patty, Michael Maio (Seekonk, MA) as Teen Angel/Johnny Casino, Christopher Margadonna (Warwick) as Doody, Stephanie Post (Providence) in the Ensemble, Court Stafford (Providence) in the Ensemble, Paige Trottier (Belllingham, MA) in the Ensemble and Heather Vieira (Norton, MA) as Jan.

Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8PM and Sunday matinees at 2PM. Tickets are $25 general admission and a discounted student admission of $18, and are on sale online at www.thecommunityplayers.org or by calling (401) 726-6860.
