Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), currently celebrating its third season in its state-of-the-art theatre in Warwick, is proud to announce the continuation of their post-performance Piano Bar Series. "Miscast" will be held following select Friday and Saturday evening performances of the company's current production, Into the Woods.

"The 'Miscast' theme is a very popular theme for piano bars in New York." said Amiee Turner, Producing Artistic Director of Ocean State Theatre Company. "Frequently it's showtunes being sung by the opposite sex of that for which the song was originally written. Sometimes it's also songs written for a different race or age or experience. It's always something that puts a different twist on the original take and we thought our patrons might find it to be a lot of fun!"

Following select Friday and Saturday evening performances, the theatre's lobby will be transformed into an intimate performance space, at which patrons will be entertained by cast members, OSTC alumni, and staff members, while enjoying beverages and snacks, which will be available for purchase from the theatre's lobby bar.

"Miscast" will be hosted by OSTC's Managing Director, Robert Miller Jr., who spent six years performing at Walt Disney World, appeared in several ABC television specials, and has served as an emcee and host for high profile events produced by the North Carolina Theatre Conference, Blowing Rock Winterfest, and the Blue Ridge Wine and Food Festival. A member of Actors' Equity Association since 2001, Mr. Miller has stage managed numerous OSTC productions, including the current production of Into the Woods. Musical accompaniment will be provided by the musical director for Into the Woods, Esther Zabinski.

"Miscast" will be presented following Friday and Saturday evening performances of Into the Woods on May 8, 9, 15 and 16. Attendance at the performance preceding the piano bar is not required. The lobby doors will open for the piano bar at 10:15 pm. The theatre is located at 1245 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI. Admission is free, but seating is limited, so reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling (401) 921-6800.

Tickets for Into the Woods, as well as Ocean State Theatre Company's two summer productions, Rounding Third and Gypsy, are on sale at the box office Monday through Friday from 12 noon - 6:00 pm, Saturdays from 12 noon - 4:00 pm, and up until curtain on performance days. Tickets are also available online 24 hours a day at www.OceanStateTheatre.org and via telephone during normal box office hours by calling (401) 921-6800.
