The final evening of the 2012 American Music Series will present Jim Kweskin and Geoff Muldaur, with special guest, Josh Schurman at the Courthouse Center Stage, West Kingston, RI on Thursday, November 8. Doors open at 7 PM, tickets $25.

Jim Kweskin’s Jug Band explored the amusing side of folk music in the early 60s, gaining a strong popular following in the five years they performed. They transformed the sounds of rural music before WW11 to create the humorous good natured music that made his band so popular. Jim started out in Cambridge, migrated to California and eventually returned to his base in Cambridge where he formed a lasting partnership with Geoff Muldaur. Many variations and transformations later, we hear once again Kewskin and Muldaur in their current incarnation.
