Epic Theatre Company is ready to bring the house down with its final show of 2015-American Strippers. This world premiere by local playwright and Artistic Director Kevin Broccoli (The Diner and Mr. Stone, Kill the Virgin) is all about what happens when a group of Greek goddesses take their bachelorette party to a Texas strip club run by American legends like Pecos Bill and Johnny Appleseed. Cultures clash and clothes come off in this outrageous cosmic comedy.

The goddess Aphrodite is getting married to the god Apollo, and her fellow goddesses have taken her to Americana-a male strip club in Texas run by Paula, formerly a famous lumberjack-to celebrate. But when Aphrodite falls in love with a lovesick cowboy, and the god Dionysius shows up to throw the rules of the club out the window, all Hades breaks loose-no, literally, it does.

A mixture of fable, myth, song, dance, romance, and theater (of course) make this show a sure-fire crowd pleaser.

American Strippers is written and directed by Kevin Broccoli with choreography from Ronald Lewis, and featuring a cast of Epic all-stars including Tammy Brown, Ottavia DeLuca, Cherylee Sousa Dumas, Samantha Gaus, Kerry Giorgi, Patrick Keeffe, Rico Lanni, Hannah Lum, Michael Puppi, Robert C. Reynolds, Michael Shallcross, Melanie Stone, Christopher Verleger, Jason Walker, and Geoff White. The show will be performed at Mixed Magic Theatre, a fellow member of the Rhode Island Theatre Alliance (RITA).
