Epic Theatre Company Presents ______ AND ME After Epic Legal Tussle

Epic Theatre Company is proud to present a one night only performance of "______ and Me" by Kevin Broccoli on Saturday, August 12th @ 8pm at their resident home in Cranston, Rhode Island.

"After a certain celebrity decided we couldn't use their name in the show, we figured we would get a little creative," says Epic Artistic Director Kevin Broccoli, "We're going to present the show with all mentions of that celebrity's name removed along with any clues to their identity being totally redacted. We think the show will be just as entertaining with these edits, and we look forward to sharing this new version with an audience."

Epic's back-and-forth with this celebrity's attorneys have been well-documented in publications like The New York Times, the New York Daily News, and Rolling Stone magazine. Their New York run of the show was cancelled due to a cease and desist letter sent to the venue where the show was to be performed. Epic, in conjunction with producer David De Almo, still plans on looking for another New York venue at which to perform the show. In the meantime, Epic is proud to bring the show back to its Rhode Island home. All of Epic's proceeds from the show will go to the ACLU.

There will also be a talkback after the performance where Broccoli will talk about the show's recent publicity and what's next for the production.

"Many people have been sending their condolences, and while I appreciate that, the idea that we would simply never perform the show again never crossed my mind," says Broccoli. "We're very proud of it, and we will continue to produce it with or without the celebrity's name in the title."

Tickets for "_________ and Me" will be $20 General Admission, $15 for Seniors, and student tickets are free.
