Joan Batting is Sybil Birling and Jeff Church is Eric Birling in JB Priestley's "An Inspector Calls", produced by 2nd Story Theatre at the historic Bristol Statehouse, now through Dec. 2.

In 1912, the wealthy Birling family is visited by Inspector Goole, who questions them about the suicide of a young, working-class woman. Under interrogation, each member of the family is found complicit in the young woman's exploitation and abandonment, effectively causing her demise. An Inspector Calls won the 1994 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.

Performances take place at The Courtroom of the Bristol Statehouse, 240 High Street, Bristol, RI, through December 2. The schedule is Thurs. at 7:00pm, Fri. & Sat. at 8:00pm, Sun. at 3:00pm, with additional performances Sunday, November 11 at 7:00pm. No Performance: Thursday, November 22/Thanksgiving
