Who fell asleep at the scene of his show, a comedian wakes up in the middle of a bustling nightmare and finds himself pulled into a strange place, at the turn of imagination and reality. She welcomes him an ethereal guardian angel with the task of leading them in transit between earthly life and afterlife.
Convinced of being immersed in a dream just a little 'more outlandish than usual, the protagonist discovers that in that curious site in the clouds is kept the "external memory" of its existence. As feared (but hoped at least in part) everything has been archived and everything has a weight: the actions, thoughts, even the intentions.
Among comic suspensions and waited without anxiety, the actor makes a budget of its businesses, recounts his weaknesses and asks the angel of the fate that awaits him.
But when it is finally ready to calmly face his fate, an accident by unexpected implications surprise change in his plans.
Joel Dix returns to theater writing with a text that speaks of reality and dreams, responsibility and disengagement, emotions of the past and plans for the future.
"Tucked away where there is more light" is a show in which the uninterrupted flow of the thoughts of the protagonist becomes visible in the script of a play. A diary of notes and memoirs, fictionalized in the balance between truth and lies more than plausible. Chronicles hilarious and loving, constantly swing between laughter and tears, between minutiae and greatest systems.
The scene concretely abstract Francesca Pedrotti, music and sounds "heavenly" Savino Cesario and elegant lighting design by Carlo Signorini contribute to the new theater project of Joel Dix, born from the conviction that the illusion can still be funny, without shame , the hospitable home of appointments between spirit and matter.
