Despite her youth, Yuja Wang has been installed onto the Olympus of the current great performers of the piano. Spectacular, fresh and charismatic, she has won the public around the world. Here she is accompanied by the romanticism of Sibelius's Second Symphony and the elegance of an opera by Rameau.
The First Piano Concerto of Shostakovich is special for the fact that, in addition to the piano, it also incorporates a trumpet soloist, this time played by the soloist of the OBC, Mireia Farrés. A gratifying work, full of good humour and of great difficulty, with one of the best pianists of the moment. Víctor Pablo Pérez joins the commemorations of the 250th anniversary of Jean-Philippe Rameau performing a suite from one of his elegant operas, and offers us, in the second part, one of the first great symphonies of the twentieth century.
