Spring Awakening is a rock musical based on the German play Spring Awakening (1891) by Frank Wedekind. Set in late 19th-century Germany, the musical tells the story of teenagers discovering the inner and outer tumult of teenage sexuality. Join this group of late-19th-century German students on their passage as they navigate teenage self-discovery and coming-of-age anxiety in a powerful celebration of youth and rebellion.

Pictured here are Wendla and Melchior, played by Rachel Friedman and Eric Berry-Sandelin. Wendla is a naive young girl who has limited knowledge about adult issues but learns much through her own experiences, whereas Melchior knows and understands much more of the world around them and rebels against the strict regime they live in. Together, they experience more than either of them could expect...
