The "granddaddy of all interactive theatre" will be performed for the first time ever in Raleigh.

The legendary interactive wedding experience, Tony n' Tina's Wedding, will play a limited engagement January 20 - 29, 2017 at Cyprus Manor at Cary. The show will feature an all-local cast of professional actors with dinner provided by Mamma Mia Apex.

When guests attend Tony n' Tina's Wedding they don't get a ticket. They get an invitation to the wackiest wedding in Raleigh. They arrive, grab a drink, take a seat in Vinnie Black's Chapel of Love and watch Tina and Tony take their vows.

After the happy couple are pronounced man and wife, they head through the receiving line to the reception. Then it's party time! Guests will join the newlyweds for the biggest party of their lives. The first dance, the bouquet and garter toss, feeding each other cake, toasts, and all your favorite party dances. The wedding party will interact with their guests all night.

Tony n' Tina's Wedding is a one-of-a-kind night of entertainment. It's an Off-Broadway show staged as a festive celebration. The audience doesn't just watch, but participates directly, from the first toast to the last slice of cake. As two colorful and madcap Italian-American families come together as one, everyone in attendance joins in the fun as guests of the bride and groom.

What's so special about the show is that it's based on the universal human experience of a wedding ceremony. Everyone loves a wedding. Especially when it's enlivened by surprises and unexpected family drama. By blurring the line between fantasy and reality, the show works its magic and draws the audience into eating, drinking, dancing and conversing, just as you would at a real wedding. Before you know it, guests are caught up in the celebration too, partying along with the rest of Tony n' Tina's family and friends as if they have known them for years. That's how Tony n' Tina have won over the hearts of countless thousands of people since the show first opened in New York City in 1988. Since then, it has gone on to enjoy extended runs and worldwide success. Performances have been in over 100 cities across the US, Europe and Asia and, now - for the first time ever - Raleigh.

The cast of Tony n' Tina's Wedding is made up of 23 professional actors with strong backgrounds in theatre, film, and improv including many members of Comedy Worx and Raleigh Village Idiots. They will play the roles of the bridal party, wedding staff, and families of the bride and the groom. The cast intermingles with the guests through the night, creating a unique experience for each and every audience member.

The venue for the event is Cypress Manor at Cary located at 1040 Buck Jones Road, Raleigh, NC. The venue is a beautiful wedding venue - easily accessibly from all parts of the Triangle - which will be transformed into two distinct spaces- Vinnie Black's Chapel of Love and a grand reception hall where dinner and dancing will take place.

The Raleigh production of Tony n' Tina's Wedding is directed by James Ilsley who spent over 5 years and countless performances in productions of the show throughout the country.
