On four Sundays in July and August, Raleigh Little Theatre and Raleigh Brewing will offer free outdoor movies in the Stephenson Amphitheatre at RLT in a new series called "Movies in the Garden."

"Raleigh Brewing is excited to be a part of the Hillsborough Street community and looks forward to sponsoring the "Movies in the Garden" series hosted by Raleigh Little Theatre. This will be a perfect series to bring the community together in the summer and enjoy a fantastic venue," said Kristie Nystedt, President and CEO. The announcement of the series comes shortly after Raleigh Brewing has released its first-ever canned beers.

Beginning July 19, and running through August 9, there will be a movie each Sunday at 8pm with a pre-show activity at 7pm. Raleigh Brewing beer will be on sale as well as other beverages and snacks. No outside alcohol is allowed as the RLT campus is a City of Raleigh park.

· July 19 - Charlotte's Web (G)(2006) + pet adoption event with Second Chance Pet Adoptions

· July 26 - A Streetcar Named Desire (PG)(1951) + classic movie trivia with Team Trivia

· August 2 - Into the Woods (PG)(2014) + scavenger hunt with Live It Up Hillsborough

· August 9 - Monty Python and the Holy Grail (PG)(1975) + audience participation practice with Raleigh Little Theatre

· August 16 & 23 - rain dates for any postponed movies

"We are thrilled to partner with Raleigh Brewing and Live It Up Hillsborough. The pre-show activities, especially the scavenger hunt on August 2, are particularly exciting because it'll give our friends and neighbors an opportunity to do something interactive and build a sense of community," said Charles Phaneuf, RLT's Executive Director.

Each of the movies is related to one of the productions in RLT's 2015/16 season. Charlotte's Web runs April 8 - 17, 2016 in the Sutton Theatre. Tennessee Williams (author of A Streetcar Named Desire) also wrote Glass Menagerie, which will play June 10 -26, 2016. Into the Woods is by Stephen Sondheim, who also wrote Sweeney Todd (February 12 - 28, 2016). And lastly, Monty Python and the Holy Grail inspired SPAMALOT, which opens RLT's season August 29 - September 13, 2015.
