ABOUT BLUE SKY

British playwright Clare Bayley's Blue Sky is a funny and troubling play about a photographer who inadvertently snaps a picture of something he shouldn't have. The play is based on a true story and deals with one of the darkest episodes in recent US history. Set in 2003 during a time when the US and UK forces were gearing up to invade Iraq, the story follows Jane, an investigative journalist who looks up an old flame, Ray, in the hopes of getting a lead on a big story she is pursuing. Blue Sky will be directed by Gus Heagerty of Washington, DC and coproduced by CAM Raleigh. The performances will take place at CAM Raleigh (409 West Martin St. Raleigh, NC 27603).

This production is made possible in part by an Innovation Grant from the City of Raleigh Arts Commission. The City of Raleigh Arts Commission is dedicated to connecting people to the arts and building a vital and ever-expanding creative community for Raleigh residents and visitors. The Commission serves as the leading force to champion the arts in Raleigh. The Arts Commission grant focuses on encouraging collaboration between Raleigh arts organizations; Blue Sky is a collaborative production between Burning Coal Theatre Company and CAM Raleigh.
