Alan Campbell Set for Carolina Ballet's DRACULA, 10/14-10/31

Tony Award nominee Alan Campbell will begin playing Dr. Seward in the Carolina Ballet's production of DRACULA beginning October 14 and running through October 31 at the A.J. Fletcher Theater of the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, North Carolina. The ballet, is based on the novel by Bram Stoker and will be choreographed by two-time Tony Award nominee Lynne Taylor-Corbett.

Long before the Twilight vampires invaded Hollywood, there was Dracula, the original Transylvanian prince of darkness. Now the undead Count swoops into Lynne Taylor-Corbett's atmospheric new work, featuring Broadway actor Alan Campbell. The program also includes The Masque of the Red Death, a new ballet by Robert Weiss. Based on the story by Edgar Allan Poe.

Both ballets feature music by J. Mark Scearce, sets by Jeff A.R. Jones, and costumes by David Heuvel.

Campbell received a Tony nominee for his portrayal of Joe Gills in SUNSET BOULEVARD.
