Considered by many to be the last great musical comedy, Gypsy tells the backstage tale of vaudeville entertainer turned stripper Gypsy Rose Lee and her overbearing mother, Rose. Stephen Sondheim's lyrics with Jule Styne's infectious music provide a tight structure and natural language to the score with such Broadway standards as "Everything's Coming Up Roses," "Small World," "Some People," "If Momma Was Married," "Together Wherever We Go," and the climactic "Rose's Turn."

Book by Neil Simon
Directed by Issac Lamb
Sweet Charity takes a poignant and humorous look at the misadventures of love as encountered by the sweet but guileless Charity Hope Valentine. Charity always gives her heart and dreams to the wrong man. With well-intentioned advice from her girlfriends and co-workers at the Fandango Ballroom, Charity bumbles her way through amorous mishaps. The musical features such favorites as "Big Spender," "There's Gotta Be Something Better Than This" and "If They Could See Me Now." The original Broadway production was nominated for 12 Tony Awards. Froggy convinces Charlie to pretend to be a foreigner who doesn't understand English. The plan backfires when other vacationers open up to this exotic "foreigner" and share their secrets and schemes. Compelled to do the right thing, he tries to help the potential victims involved - with bizarre results. Show Sponsor: The Swinford Family.
THE HOLLOW
Jan. 14 - Feb. 20, 2011
By Agatha Christie
Directed by Don Alder
The victim was loved, some may say to death. When Sir Henry and Lady Angkatell invite a group of friends to spend the weekend at their country retreat, The Hollow, little do they know that a tangle of romantic liaisons and marriages will explode into murder. Amid the stylish Agatha Christie repartee, it's up to Inspector Colquhoun to unravel the love affairs and secrets to solve the crime. Show Sponsor: Lakewood Center Associates.
