Throughline Theatre Company Presents Suspenseful and Trenchant Thriller YANKEE TAVERN

Things seem to going great for Adam and Janet. They are preparing to get married, they run a bar, and they enjoy listening to their friend, Ray, share crazy conspiracy theories. But are all these conspiracy theories really crazy? With the entrance of a mysterious character named Palmer, Adam and Janet are soon caught in a web of danger and unanswered questions.

Yankee Tavern premiered at Florida Stage in 2009 and has been produced by numerous regional companies. Playwright Steven Dietz has written such widely performed works as God's Country, Private Eyes, The Nina Variations, Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure, and an acclaimed adaptation of Dracula. Dietz has directed for many leading regional companies, including City Theatre Company, Actor's Theatre of Louisville, and Seattle Repertory Theatre.

Throughline Theatre Company's four-show season focuses on the relationship between past, present, and future by presenting plays from varied time periods and arranging them to highlight their thematic and stylistic similarities.


Yankee Tavern opens Friday, October 28 and runs through Saturday, November 5. The opening night performance will be followed by a reception where food and drinks will be provided and audience members can meet the cast. Thursday and Friday performances start at 8:00 p.m., Saturday performances at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $20.00 general admission or $15.00 for students and seniors. Tickets for the opening night reception are an additional $10.00. Tickets are available at the door or online at throughline.showclix.com. The 2:00 p.m. performance on Saturday, October 29 is pay-what-you-can (cash only). Tickets for this performance will only be available at the box office and are first come, first served.
