A huge sale of props and furniture used onstage in Pittsburgh Public Theater's plays and musicals will be on sale at Pittsburgh Public Theater's Scene Shop on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12, 2013, from 9am to 6pm both days. Take home a rare piece of theatrical memorabilia as PPT seeks to clear the props storage decks from recent seasons to make room for more!
Featured items will include the following: sofas and ottoman from OTHER DESERT CITIES, custom metal dressing table from DIRTY BLONDE, mahogany executive table and leather-look chairs from THURGOOD, custom-made tables used by the delegates to the Continental Congress in 1776, a collection of owls from THE LADY WITH ALL THE ANSWERS, yards of authentic Indian fabric from THE TIME OF MY LIFE, flip-flops and mannequin heads displayed in the Wig Shop in THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, paintings seen in ART; faux stone benches used in CAMELOT, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, and Mary Stuart; cigar-rolling table from ANNA IN THE TROPICS, twenty-four-foot dragons from MEDEA, grand piano from THE PIANO LESSON, red sofa bench from ROLEPLAY

Cash and carry: on sale will be tables custom-made in Pittsburgh Public Theater's shop for 1776.
Modern: on sale will be the sofas and ottoman used in OTHER DESERT CITIES.
