The centerpiece of Pittsburgh Public Theater's 40th anniversary Season of Legends is My Fair Lady, the musical event with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. Directed and choreographed by Ted Pappas, My Fair Lady runs tonight, January 22 - February 22, 2015 at the O'Reilly Theater, Pittsburgh Public Theater's home in the heart of Downtown's Cultural District. For tickets call 412.316.1600 or visit ppt.org. The Presenting Sponsor of My Fair Lady is Highmark. The Production Sponsor is The H.J. Heinz Company Foundation.

Music director F. Wade Russo (Company, 1776, Camelot) returns to lead an 11-piece live orchestra. Also returning are Benjamin Howes (Company) as Henry Higgins and Kimberly Doreen Burns (Guenevere in Camelot) as Eliza Doolittle.

Joining them will be Bill Nolte (Alfred P. Doolittle), John Little (Colonel Pickering), Joe Jackson (Freddy Eynsford-Hill), Susan McGregor-Laine (Mrs. Higgins), and Terry Wickline (Mrs. Pearce). The Ensemble features Associate Choreographer Carol Schuberg, Allison Cahill, Mark Coffin, Stephen Dagrosa, Michael J. Farina, Robert Frankenberry, Zanna Fredland, Amanda Frennier, Ashton Guthrie, Daniel Krell, Christina McCann, Caroline Nicolian, J. Alex Noble, Quinn Patrick Shannon, Garrett Storm, and Andrew Swackhamer.

Considered by many to be the greatest musical of all time, Lerner and Loewe's My Fair Lady is based on George Bernard Shaw's play and Gabriel Pascal's motion picture, Pygmalion. In magnificent words and music it tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, and her teacher Henry Higgins, as she transforms from a Cockney flower girl to the fairest lady of them all. The exuberant score includes "The Rain in Spain," "On the Street Where You Live," I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face," and "I Could Have Danced All Night."

The designers for My Fair Lady are Michael Schweikardt (Scenery), Martha Bromelmeier (Costumes), Kirk Bookman (Lighting), and Zach Moore (Sound). Don Wadsworth is the Dialect Coach. Casting is by Cindi Rush Casting. Ruth E. Kramer is the Production Stage Manager and Fredric H. Orner is the Assistant Stage Manager.
