Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Kyle Taylor Parker, who is currently earning raves as 'Lola' in the National Tour of the Tony Award®-winning musical Kinky Boots, will step into the role on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) for three months, taking over for Tony® Award-winner Billy Porter from January 27 - April 26, 2015. Porter will return to Kinky Boots on April 28, 2015, and has extended his contract through January 2016.

"Lola is literally my dream role, and I'm still loving every minute of it," says Porter, who has played more than 750 performances in the role that won him a 2013 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. "But I'm going to take a few months at the beginning of the year to do concerts, some directing, and other things. Then I'll be back at the end of April, and am excited to say that I get to strut my stuff in this glorious show until January 2016."

Porter will also return to his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA to star as 'Lola' when the National Touring Production plays the Pittsburgh CLO from August 4-9, 2015. Parker will head back to Broadway to fill in for Porter during those performances as well.

Darius Harper and J. Harrison Ghee, who currently understudy Parker on the National Tour, will alternate playing the role of 'Lola' during this time.
