City Theatre celebrates the season with the return of Sister's Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magi's Gold, a hilarious holiday comedy featuring audience favorite Kimberly Richards. A City Events special presentation, Sister's Christmas Catechism runs on City Theatre's Mainstage from November 23 to December 16, 2012.

Get ready to sit up straight and participate because Sister is back in town, and she'll find out if you've been good. Complete with witty audience interaction, musical highlights from Pittsburgh area choirs, prizes, and the irrepressible Kimberly Richards, Sister's Christmas Catechism is a must-see holiday show. Whether you're a loyal fan or it's your very first lesson, now is the time to pick up Pittsburgh's favorite holiday habit.

Kimberly Richards is a native of Pittsburgh. She has been performing on stage for over 40 years, the first 15 as a professional dancer, illusionist, choreographer, aerialist, and comedienne, based in Las Vegas during its heyday in the '70s and '80s. She also did a Far East tour for the Department of Defense, and hung from a rope at 60 feet without a net for two years at CIRCUS CIRCUS in Reno. She has won two Drama-Logue awards and three Dean Goodman Choice awards for her acting and choreography, and has appeared in two of San Francisco's longest running hits, Bar None and Beyond Therapy. Also in the San Francisco Bay Area, she has acted in a number of plays produced by Genesius Theatre Company, which she co-founded. The company is named after Saint Genesius, the patron Saint of Actors. Kim performed in Encore Theatre's critically acclaimed world premiere of Adam Rapp's Dreams of the Salt Horse (recipient, Outstanding Performance Award). She has also directed dozens of plays, including the 2009 world premiere of Pulp Scripture by William Bivins, which swept the San Francisco Fringe Festival, winning eight awards including Best New Comedy. She choreographed Abe Lincoln's Big Gay Dance Party by Aaron Loeb, which won Best New Play in the 2009 New York International Fringe Festival, and the sold-out run of My Fair Lady at the SF Playhouse. Kim is pleased that her life has come full circle from 12 years of Catholic school, to dancing the showrooms of Las Vegas, to playing a nun.
