The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is pleased to present Alumni Theater Company's (ATC) production of I AM ARTIST, premiering at the Trust Arts Education Center tonight, October 17 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday October 18 at 7 p.m. Audiences will get to experience an electric collection of works created directly from the minds of ATC's talented teenagers themselves.

"As ATC begins its seventh season, I continue to be amazed with the talent and dedication of the young ATC artists," shared Hallie Donner, company director of Alumni Theater Company. "They are committed, disciplined, collaborative, and so much fun! I am very proud of this particular production of I AM ARTIST because we are incorporating ten new members into the cast. Watching those ten young artists meet with success so quickly is really a testament to the environment we have built in ATC over the years."

Tracy Edmunds, Director of Arts Education for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is also elated to showcase the company's new production. "It is a great pleasure to present Alumni Theater Company through Education and Community Engagement. It is truly inspiring that this esteemed company remains dedicated to developing our next generation of arts leaders."

All scenes, monologues, and spoken word poetry within I AM ARTIST are written by the members of Alumni Theater Company and the production is directed by Hallie Donner. Dances are choreographed by Staycee Pearl, the company dance instructor, in collaboration with with ATC graduate Cherish Morgan, who is currently a freshman at Point Park University, and current ATC company members Tyler Humphries-Randolph and Lawrence Davis. Vocal pieces were taught by the company's musical director Bridgette Perdue and the original rap songs were produced by Herman "Soy Sos" Pearl.
