Prescott Center for the Arts Announces New Board of Directors Members

Prescott Center for the Arts announces that after six extraordinary years of serving on the Board of Directors, the term of Sharon Carlin and Brad Christensen has expired. Their fiscally responsible leadership helped champion the organization to new heights and into a bold new direction. Executive Director Robyn Allen states, "Although they can't serve on the board for now they have pledged to continue on with their support of the theater. We will surely see them around!"

Joining the board are Doug Suits, Alastair MacDonald, Janis Best and Sandy Griffis. "All four of our newest Board members embody the spirit of community and bring their expertise to the table. We are very fortunate to have them." states Ms. Allen

Doug Suits, ESQ served on the Board of Directors for the Mediation Center of Yavapai, Chaparral Arts Festival and as Board President of Community Legal Services. Alastair MacDonald has served on several boards as well including the Maine Economic Growth Council and the Katahdin Institute which is a non-profit social think tank. Janis Best is the Vice-President on the Board of Directors for the Yavapai Humane Society and hails from New York where she worked as the Senior Marketing Strategist for The Via Group. Sandy Griffis is currently employed with the Yavapai County Contractors Association and has served on the board of the Central Arizona Partnership. One board position remains open.

The Mission of the Prescott Center for the Arts is to create opportunities for the greater community to engage in and experience all facets of the arts.
