For the third season running MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET is a must see for the entire family. Directed by Theater Works' own Artistic Director Robyn Allen and starring Jennifer Stone as Doris, this play will capture the hearts of the audience as its story unfolds and the magic begins. Based on the novel by Valentine Davies this timeless classic performs on the Mary Jane Gyder Main Stage beginning on December 4th and running until December 19th.

This wonderful Christmas story charms the audience with its timeless message of hope and faith. In this treasured Christmas tale, Kris Kringle is the personification of good will and holiday spirit. As Macy's holiday Santa, he is so enchanting to children and shoppers that he is perceived to be dangerous by fellow employees, who plot to ruin him. Things take a turn for the worse and a young girl's belief in Santa and the magic of the holiday is at stake in a climactic courtroom decision.

Jennifer Stone, a professional actress with over 11 years of experience, is playing Doris. This will be her first appearance at Theater Works and she is excited to join the cast of MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET. A graduate of Lees-McRae College in North Carolina, Jennifer earned both a Musical Theatre and Dance degree then pursued her career in the Performing Arts. With MIRACLE being her 100th show, Jennifer has never lost passion for the arts. A few of her favorite regional credits include: the narrator (JOSEPH), Kala (TARZAN), Cassie (A Chorus Line), Anita (West Side Story), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Guinevere (Camelot), Jellylorum (CATS), Mrs. Anna (The King And I), Josephine (HMS Pinafore), Shelby (Steel Magnolias), Julie (Pizza Man), Maureen (Rent), and touring as Pinocchio (Pinocchio).

Director Robyn Allen is an award winning director. In 1988, Robyn began her directing career at the old barn when she directed The Man Who Came to Dinner and she directed last season's award winning musical Sweeney Todd. She studied at ASU with the, now retired, great director Marshall W. Mason. Marshall founded the Circle Rep Theater in New York and went on to become one of America's finest theater directors. Watching him work with actors and designers was so inspirational and she adopted many of his techniques.
