Grant From Arizona Community Foundation Funds Performing Arts Scholarships
ABT Performing Arts Association, Inc., has recently been awarded a grant by the Summer Youth Program Fund, a component fund of the Arizona Community Foundation. The award will defray costs of Academy for Young Performers summer camps at the Arizona Broadway Theatre and provide scholarships for students who need help to pay camp tuition.
"Everyone at Arizona Broadway Theatre is grateful for the investment from the Summer Youth Program Fund," Kiel Klaphake, CEO/Executive Producer, said. "Our goal is to cover costs and fund enough scholarships to allow all interested students to participate in Academy for Young Performers summer camps, regardless of their ability to pay."
Registration forms for the one-, two-, and three-week summer camps are available on the Arizona Broadway Theatre website at azbroadway.org. Performance Camps build confidence while honing collaboration and problem-solving skills, and Imagination Camps encourage students to express their creativity. All ABT camp instructors are experienced professionals in the musical theatre industry.
