Broadway Barkada (Broadway Friends), a group of Filipino American theatre artists in New York City, will hold a Christmas Benefit Concert dubbed as "A Barkada Christmas" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 W 42nd Street, inside the West Bank Cafe) on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 7 p.m.

Part of the proceeds will go to two charity projects of PhilDev USA : (1) a fundraising assistance for PinoyME Foundation, a microfinance initiative in the Philippines, and (2) the rebuilding of San Juan Nepomuceno School in Malibay, Pasay City, Manila, which was severely damaged by recent typhoons.

Billy Bustamante, Eymard Cabling, Cynthia Casasola, Liz Casasola, Marc dela Cruz, Joanne Javien, Brian Jose, Loresa Lanceta, Erica Nadera, Jaygee Macapugay, Mel Maghuyop, Jonelle Margallo, and Romney Piamonte will serenade concert-goers with classic English and Filipino Christmas carols.

Mr. Bustamante will also direct the show.

"We are thrilled to be continuing our commitment to give back to the Philippines by presenting this holiday concert.  It's been a pleasure to work with such a talented group of artists who not only give freely of their gifts as performers, but who also care about helping those most in need back home.  The audience is certainly in for a heartwarming evening... the perfect start to the holiday season," says Broadway Barkada co-founder Brian Jose.

Tickets are available at www.barkadachristmas.eventbrite.com.  Ticket Prices:  $25 (Pre-Sale), $30 (At the Door), and $50 (VIP Admission/Donation, which includes priority seating).

PhilDev USA is a 501c3 organization. All donations coursed through the organization are tax-deductible in the US.
