CARRIE Postpones Show This Sunday, 9/22
Manila, Philippines, September 21, 2013--Atlantis Productions' newly opened production of "Carrie," based on the revamped version that premiered in New York City last Spring, has postponed its performance this Sunday, September 22.
The theater company has just posted on its Facebook page that "shows this weekend will be rescheduled due to an illness in the company."
For refunds or rebooking, call (632) 892-7078 or (63917) 838-1534.
American screenwriter Lawrence D. Cohen, best known for his screenplay for Stephen King's classic horror story "Carrie," attended the opening night in Manila Friday, September 20, at Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium.
Bobby Garcia ("Next to Normal," "Nine") directs.
"Carrie" tells the tragic story of misunderstood high school teenager Carrie White, who has extraordinary telekinetic powers. Terrorized by her oppressive religious fanatic mother and bullied by her classmates, Carrie's violent rampage of revenge remains one of the most terrifying stories of all time.
With permission from the show's writers, Atlantis Productions has just released a four-track album of "Carrie," featuring the original Manila cast--Bradshaw (Carrie), Lauchengco-Yulo (Margaret, Carrie's mother), Stroem (Tommy Ross), Yanah Laurel (Sue Snell) and Shiela Valderrama-Martinez (Ms. Gardner). The album is available at the theater's lobby.
"Carrie" runs until Sunday, October 6.
