Broadway Superstar Idina Menzel Headlines One-Night-Only Concert in Manila, 6/7

Manila, Philippines--PULP Live World, in cooperation with PLDT Fiber and Star World, presents Broadway superstar IDINA MENZEL Live in Manila, together with ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, on Sunday, June 7, 8 p.m. at Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.

Far more than just the voice behind "Frozen's" Elsa, Idina Menzel ("Wicked," "Rent") will grace the Philippine stage for the first time! The one-night-only concert on June 7 will be one of the first stops of her long-awaited world tour.

Called "the Streisand of her generation" by The Denver Post, Menzel has captivated audiences at sold-out concerts around the world. Throughout the tour, Menzel will lead audiences through a special journey of classic pop, musical theater favorites, and her own personal catalogue. The shows are set to weave together Menzel's irresistible charm, wit, and unparalleled vocal prowess.

Accompanying her for the Manila performance are members of the prestigious ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra is under the baton of musical director Gerard Salonga, a multi-awarded conductor, arranger, and multi-platinum record producer. Since its debut in 2012, ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra has been captivating Filipinos in acclaimed classical concerts, collaborations, film and television scores, and even educational outreach programs. As multimedia virtuosos, just like Menzel, the orchestra is sure to harmonize, nay elevate, the night's powerful showcase to greater heights.

Menzel has a diverse career that traverses stage, film, television, and music. She is widely recognized for the Oscar-winning song "Let It Go," as well as her Tony Award-nominated and Tony Award-winning performances in "Rent" as Maureen and in "Wicked "as Elphaba. Other notable roles include Rachel Berry's mother, Shelby Corcoran, on the hit television show "Glee," as well as starring in Disney's "Enchanted." Menzel also starred in her own PBS special, "Barefoot at the Symphony," with an accompanying live album of the same name.
