(2/28/2015) - Broadway Philadelphia announced today that an additional performance of THE ILLUSIONISTS - WITNESS THE IMPOSSIBLE, has been added to the one-week engagement of the blockbuster theatrical magic show coming to the Academy of Music on Tuesday, Feb. 24 through Sunday, March 1 due to popular demand! Broadway Philadelphia is presented collaboratively by the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and the Shubert Organization.

(2/25/2015) - The Wilma will produce what many believe to be the greatest play written by Shakespeare, and many others consider the greatest play written in the English language. The fight for the throne of Denmark, quest for moral righteousness, and complexities of vengeance will be reexamined on our stage with resonances to contemporary society. The title character in Shakespeare's tragedy will be played by the powerful actress Zainab Jah, who appeared as Prudence in last season's production of The Convert. Immediately following Hamlet, the Wilma will stage Tom Stoppard's now classic behind-the-scenes comedy Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, both directed by Wilma Artistic Director Blanka Zizka and using the same company of actors.

(2/24/2015) - Tony and Grammy Award-winner Billy Porter continues Philadelphia Theatre Company's new Theatre Masters Series on March 23 at 7:00 PM at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). Porter will be joined in conversation by theatre historian and author John Kenrick. Launched as part of PTC's celebration of its 40th Anniversary season, Theatre Masters offers an array of Monday night on-stage interviews with major theatre artists with whom PTC has worked, each sharing personal journeys of transformation and creative growth over time and how it has impacted both art and life. The series, which launched February 16 with a sold out house for Bill Irwin, concludes with Anna Deavere Smith on May 11.
