Hedgerow Theatre in Rose Valley fires up its 2010 Signature Series Jan. 28-Feb. 14 with Visiting Mr. Green, featuring Equity artists Alan Kutner and Damon Bonetti starring in Jeff Baron's multi-generational comedy, directed by local theatrical powerhouse Roberta Sloan, director of Temple University Theaters. Translated into 22 different languages, Visiting Mr. Green, is one of the most produced plays in the world; and this hilarious tale of the Curmudgeon vs. The Yuppie is sure to warm the hearts of the tri-state region, thanks to thanks to its honest humor.
Equity artists Alan Kutner of Havertown as Orthodox Jew Mr. Green and Damon Bonetti of Collingswood, N.J. as executive Ross Gardiner square off as playwright Jeff Baron explores the idea that sometimes unexpected visitors are the ones we need the most.Nominated for the 2009 Barrymore for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Play as David in Orange Flower Water for Luna Theatre Company, Mr. Bonetti's recent credits also include Hate Mail at Act II Playhouse, Romeo & Juliet and the title role in Pericles (Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival), Clover (Places Ensemble Theatre/'09 Philly Fringe), Criminal Hearts (Walnut Street Theatre) and Blood: A Comedy (Passage Theatre).
Performances are Thursday through?Saturday at 8p.m.; Sunday at 2 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. There will be Open Caption performances Sunday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. There will be also be a talk-back following the Feb. 7 show. On Valentine's Day, (Feb. 14) the 2 p.m. performance will include a sweet-for-your-sweetheart intermission.
