Theatre Horizon (401 DeKalb Street, Norristown, PA) has declared that it is "The Year of the Woman."

"I wanted to organize an entire year of shows around strong heroines," said Artistic Director Erin Reilly. "All over the country, women are mobilizing to run for elected office, working in partnership with men to campaign for women's rights, and fight for inclusion and equal justice for marginalized groups. I believe that when women embrace their own agency to build a kinder, more just, world, powerful shifts can happen."

Theatre Horizon's 2017-2018 season materializes Reilly's vision in a jubilant celebration of "Women Who Dare." The Norristown, Pennsylvania theatre company will present three productions that highlight female protagonists and female heroines, while continuing their ongoing commitment to female writers and directors.

The season includes:

As her dad's health begins to fail, Lisa experiences the ups and downs of documenting his life as a Holocaust survivor...and in the process, takes us through the family album of one very funny Jewish lesbian. By 3-time Tony-winner Lisa Kron, writer of Broadway's Fun Home. October 2017

The Revolutionists: By Lauren Gunderson,?Directed by Kathryn MacMillan. Four badass women lose their heads in this irreverent, woman-powered comedy set during the French Revolution.
