The State Theatre Adds Three Shows to 90th Season

Tickets for these new shows will go on sale to State Theatre Members Wednesday, March 30 at 10 AM, and to the public on Wednesday, April 6th. During Members Only sales, there will be a 10 ticket limit per Member per performance.

State Theatre Memberships can be purchased at any time and begin at $75 for one year. As a non-profit organization, State Theatre membership contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The following shows are in addition to Brian Wilson presents Pet Sounds scheduled for September 25th which has been announced previously and is already on sale. The rest of the new lineup will be released in June as the State Theatre celebrates its 90th season during 2016-2017.

VINCE GILL

Sunday, September 18 7 PM $67/$62

One of the most popular and most recorded singers of the past quarter-century, superstar Vince Gill has become the measure of excellence in country music. Gill became just the second recording artist in history to receive the Irving Waugh Award of Excellence -the other being awarded to Johnny Cash - and also honored for his prolific songwriting career with the 2014 BMI Icon Award. He has won 18 more CMA honors, including Song of the Year four times - making him the most-awarded artist in that category in CMA history. The Academy of Country Music has handed Gill 8 awards, including their prestigious "The Home Depot Humanitarian Award" and the "Career Achievement Award." Since 1990, Gill has received 20 GRAMMY Awards and has sold more than 26 million albums. His latest album Down To My Last Bad Habit was released in February. Vince Gill was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007.

JOHNNY MATHIS

60th Anniversary Concert

With multiple Grammy nominations and 73 songs that have hit the Billboard Charts, Johnny Mathis has been a recording star for 60 years. Although Mathis is frequently described as a romantic singer, his discography includes jazz, traditional pop, Brazilian music, Spanish music, soul music, rhythm and blues, soft rock, Broadway theatre, Tin Pan Alley standards, some blues and country songs, and even a few disco songs for his album Mathis Magic in 1979. Throw in five albums of Christmas music and you have one of the more diverse performers of all time. Most recent honors and accolades include: 2013 Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award from the Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters for Radio & Television; 2013 Induction into the brand new America's Pop Music Hall of Fame; 2014 induction into the Great American Songbook Hall of Fame, as well as receiving the New Standard Award for his continuing career achievements.

THE PIANO GUYS

Hailing from Utah, The Piano Guys are four dads who became an Internet sensation by way of their immensely successful series of strikingly original self-made music videos. They've made over 50 since early 2011, including their hit video, an innovative multi-handed version of One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful" and a gorgeous reinvention of the hit song "Let It Go" from Disney's Frozen. It's the Guys' highly original blend of classical music with pop that has really been the cause of an Internet phenomenon and has led to over 500 million YouTube views. It is their endearing personalities along with their obvious will to inspire young and old, which keeps the fans coming back for more.
