State Theatre to Host 90th WOW Gala This Today

The Follett Family & Follett LLC presents the State Theatre 90 Years of WOW Gala this Saturday, June 24 at the historic State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton, PA. The Gala will run 5:30 - 11 PM.

Andy Daub, former State Theatre Board President and founder of the Friends of the State Theatre, which worked to save the theatre from demise in the 1980's, and his wife Carolyn will be Honorary Chairs of the event.

This one time iconic event will celebrate the amazing history and bright future of the non-profit State Theatre.

The evening will begin with WOW! Cocktail Hour followed by award winning singer / songwriter Jim Witter taking guests Through the Decades with an original performance created just for this Gala. Following Jim, the main stage will transform into the weathertrends360 Dance Stage with DJ Rockin' Remaley for the once in a lifetime experience of dancing on the glorious State Theatre stage. Guests will also enjoy themed rooms throughout the Theatre including the upbeat Norris, McLaughlin, & Marcus Club Vintage Ballroom featuring The Main Street Brass in the Acopian Ballroom, Nicholas Courts Stardust Lounge featuring rat-pack era music from American Monarch Theatre in the Gallery, and Fred's Famous Smoke Shop Cigar Tent, in honor of the Theatre's resident ghost FRED, on the theatre's parking deck.

The State Theatre Center for the Arts is a non-profit, historic theatre located in Easton, PA. The Center for the Arts complex also includes the Acopian Ballroom and the contemporary Easton Hospital Gallery. The building is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Opened on the B.F. Keith vaudeville circuit in 1926, the State Theatre is now celebrating its 90th Season.
