Society Hill Playhouse will present LAFFERTY'S WAKE, an Irish-style comedy with lots of audience involvement. The interactive Irish comedy returns to the Society Hill Playhouse Cabaret for a limited run.

LAFFERTY'S WAKE premiered at Society Hill Playhouse in 1998 and was written on commission by Susan Turlish. It has entertained audiences throughout the country and opens Friday, March 6, 2015 at 8 PM and is scheduled to run Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 2:00pm through April 12, 2015.

The Society Hill cabaret has been turned into Rory's Pub, where as his final request, Charlie Lafferty is being waked, with his wife Kathleen, daughter Maggie, son-in-law Patrick, the village priest Father Pettigrew, his special friend, Molly; and his best friend Rory in attendance. Sing-alongs with the audience include: Whiskey in the Jar, Sweet Molly Malone, The Orange and the Green and When Irish Eyes are Smiling.

Ticket prices are $35.00 with group rates and specials available. Tickets can be purchased through the Society Hill Playhouse website: www.societyhillplayhouse.org or at the door of the theatre on the day of the show. Society Hill Playhouse is located at 507 S Eighth Street, Philadelphia PA 19147.
