Popcorn Hat Players presents "The Snow Queen", now through March 30, 2013, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. and Saturdays at 1:00 p.m.

A powerful story of a young girl's quest, Gerda must search the world over to rescue her best friend, Kay, who has been captured and spirited away by the reputedly wicked and powerful Snow Queen. Along the way she meets a bizarre and colorful array of characters who direct her in her journey ever farther and farther North. Adapted from the original by Hans Christian Anderson, this is a Popcorn Hat show that is an epic journey and a true picture of love and devotion.

Popcorn Hat Players Children's Theatre is Central PA's only professional children's theatre and has been entertaining audiences throughout the Susquehanna Valley since 1993. PHP performs a full season of children's mainstage plays at Gamut Classic Theatre, located on the 3rd floor of Strawberry Square in downtown Harrisburg. Created by the husband-and-wife team of Clark and Melissa Nicholson, this innovative and energetic troupe consists of seven full-time core company members and tours throughout the eastern United States, performing original comedies and teaching creative dramatics, reaching over 30,000 people each year.

Their goal is to provide live theatre to children and areas that do not normally have the opportunity to experience professional theatre and to spread a bit of laughter wherever they go! Audiences of all ages love their original scripts, quick wit, and improvisational comedy.

PHP and Harrisburg Shakespeare Company joined forces to become Gamut Theatre Group, Home of the Classic Story. You can learn more about this unique company at www.gamutplays.org.
