On Saturday, January 18, Luna Theater Company continues its captivating Once Upon a Time season with the Philadelphia revival of "THE PILLOWMAN" by Martin McDonagh. Performances run January 18th through February 8th at the new theater in the Bella Vista neighborhood: 620 S. 8th Street Philadelphia, PA 19147. Tickets are $15-$25 and can be purchased by visiting www.lunatheater.org or by calling 215-704-0033.

The Pillowman is a dark, uncomfortably witty tale of life imitating art. Katurian, an ambitious writer of grisly short stories, is called into question following a slew of child murders - horrifying acts that closely resemble those depicted in his works. Katurian will do anything to preserve the existence of his stories-even at the expense of his own life. The Pillowman has received numerous awards and accolades: The Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play; a 2005 Tony Award Nomination for Best New Play; and a nomination for the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play (2005).

McDonagh is a celebrated British & Irish playwright, screenwriter & filmmaker whose work includes the films, Six Shooter(2004) and In Bruges(2008), as well as the noted plays, A Behanding in Spokane(2010) and The Lieutenant of Inishmore(2006).
